Located in the heart of Montepulciano, the Lombardo Company was founded in1972 by Antonino Lombardo, where today Antonio’s sons Giacinto and Francesco are responsible for continuing their father’s dream of producing memorable wines that respect the superb region they come from. Lombardo is composed of about 35 hectares of vineyards, with the vast majority planted in Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile). The plants are divided into various vineyards located in Caggiole, Confino, S.Polo and Gracciano, where the company is also based. The soil of Caggiole is full of sandstone (tufo) - perfect for producing elegant non-tannic wines. Confino and Gracciano is rich in clay soil producing very powerful and tannic wines.
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG
Grape Variety: 100% Prugnolo Gentile
Tasting Notes: Ruby red, with crimson hues. On the nose notes of floral, violet and fruit, cherry, soft wood, leather, tobacco. The palate provides fleshy black cherry, espresso and star anise alongside polished supple tannins.
Poggio Saragio Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG
Grape Variety: 100% Prugnolo Gentile
Tasting Notes: The nose is an intense wine, sometimes with ethereal notes. The scents of plum, cherry, violet, chocolate and vanilla stand out, with notes of aromatic herbs, undergrowth and spices. In the mouth the Nobile di Montepulciano is a balanced and complex wine, persistent and harmonious, which is recognized by the "softness of tannins". The aftertaste is characterized by notes of undergrowth and jam.
Rosso di Montepulciano DOC
Grape Variety: 90% Prugnolo Gentile 10% Merlot
Tasting Notes: This ruby red wine has opulent aromas of berries, including blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, over more subtle notes of wildflowers and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is elegant, with well-balanced tannins, vibrant acidity, and a smooth texture.

Grape Variety: 100% Prugnolo Gentile
Tasting Notes: Ruby red, with crimson hues. On the nose notes of floral, violet and fruit, cherry, light spice, delicate wood. And the palate delivers dark fruits with very good structure and velvety, elegant, tannins.
