I can’t remember a time in my life where gatherings with family and friends did not revolve around food and wine. Growing up in a large family, where gatherings of 30 were considered small, food and wine was always present. We often discussed the origin of the recipe, the location of the wine, and the trip where it was all discovered. Through these gatherings, I learned the importance of a good meal with loved ones. Looking back, my dearest memories revolve around the dinner table.

I was raised by a family of entrepreneurs who instilled in me the importance of hardwork, the prioritization of family, the power of travel and exploration, and the love of food and wine. That spirit has guided my life and my career. Through restaurant openings to the creation of Eleven Wine Group, I strive to bring loved ones together at the dinner table.

In 2019 I embarked on the Eleven Wine Group journey. I am often asked “why eleven?” The meaning behind the name came from one of our family gatherings. My late grandfather, Ken, endearingly nicknamed me ‘Eleven’ to portray to me that I was so much more to him than a perfect ten. I was his “eleven”. What a depth of love he was showing me. Little did he know that “eleven” would become a personal mantra to live by, I strive to live up to that status. 

Last year, I sought out to find family-owned boutique wineries with beautiful “eleven” qualities. It was important to find wineries with delicious wine but also with a passion for their people and their families. My experience searching for the Eleven Wine Group portfolio brought me great memories as families invited me into their homes to share home-cooked meals and stories behind their wine. I look forward to bringing their passion of winemaking to you with their memorable ‘eleven’ wine and I hope that the wine will bear witness to love and memories created at your dinner table.
